Hi, my name is Canelo! I might look sweet as sugar, but I've got some cinnamon spice for sure. See, this world is a big, scary, place, and I might be small, but I've got plenty of personality. I've had a long journey all the way from Texas to Wisconsin, and a lot of change can be hard on a pup. I'm adjusting, but at my own pace and I'm looking for the right place to call home. It might take some time to get to know you, but once I trust you, we'll be all right. The kennels here were pretty scary, so now I stay in a staff office. The vets in there are my friends! I have really warmed up in this environment and I love to interrupt their hard work by asking for pets and treats. This setup is nice, but what I would really love is a home with a loving and patient family of teens and older. It might take you some time to earn my complete trust, but once you earn it, we're sure to be buddies for a long time. I can't wait to settle in and learn that the world doesn't have to be so scary with a friend by my side.
